Review of Savage Grace (2007) by Jonathan S — 23 Jan 2010
I think this movie is perfect. From the overall view right down to the left rear surround sound design elements. Howard A. Rodman did an amazing job on the screenplay showing just what you needed to see.
And a nod to Killer Films. It's just sad that so many people won't see this film because they can't get past the subject matter, or the things the characters do. Makes me wonder if this film could have been made without it being based on real people.
People would just assume the writer is insane and leave it at that. While I can't relate personally in most aspects to these people, I did feel that there was at least through their eyes justification for every action.
Despite it being a cold story, it made me feel warm. I felt a lot of things. Felt is a keyword here; this movie made me feel and care about a 500 plus page book that's been on my shelf for a while that I've hardly touched.
It's like understand others and you'll understand yourself.
