Review of Sauna (2008) by Phil N — 14 Sep 2008
Described as a mix of Andrei Tarkovsky and Eli Roth, Sauna is an unusual kind of horror film. Set in 1595 it features two brothers who end up in an imposing sauna where they confess their sins - and a dark force awaits.
Sounds good on paper but I have to be honest, it bored the hell out of me. Maybe I need to see it with fresh eyes, but in the midst of a packed TIFF schedule this one disappointed.
