Review of Saturday Night Fever (1977) by David G — 23 Oct 2016
There are lots of interesting themes going on in Saturday Night Fever: ambition, desire, troubled family life, unrequited love, all set in the enticing atmosphere of 70's New York, but it's the music and dance that are the real hooks with the then 23 year old John Travolta lighting up the dance floor to that classic Bee Gees soundtrack.
An iconic dance movie first but a deep, rewarding drama a close second.
