Review of Sarah's Key (2010) by Monica N — 27 May 2011
What a brilliant film. Obviously sad in places as it is set in France during 1942 and is a story in 2 parts, but one part is about the French Jews who were taken off to the camps on the instructions of the Nazis.
However it was the French people, not the Nazis, who actually arrested their country's Jews and had them sent off, so very sad. Brilliant acting and very fascinating when the Journalist (Kristin Scott Thomas) investigated further into the events of 1942 and found some family secrets out.
It was subtitled but that didn't deter from a fantastic story.
