Review of Sarah's Key (2010) by John S — 18 Jul 2011
"Sarah's Key" is a journalist look back at a Jewish girl's life in France during WW2. Some French were complicit with the Germans in their treatment of the Jews. It also deals with the married journalist's research and pregnancy dilemma. Not a film for children as it is graphic and candid. Very powerful and exceptional film. See it.
The screening I went to the French subtitles was omitted and the English segments filled in the blanks. This should not be the case when it opens.
