Review of Sarah's Key (2010) by James K — 26 Aug 2011
The film's emotional climax packs a whallop. Unfortunately, it still has another forty minutes of exposition to go afterwards, a common problem for literary adaptations with scripts that struggle to make the transition of complex subplots to the screen.
The dual narratives-past and present-work to a point and then lose any kind of focus.
