As someone who's Jewish, I'm rather ashamed to admit I'd never heard of the Vel d'Hiv round-up. I was appalled to learn what happened, even though I know the main storyline was fictionalized.
I really wish the review I read hadn't said who survived. Where's a spoiler alert when you need one?
