Review of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964) by Tim S — 21 Apr 2012

I can't believe that I actually had to sit here and consider what to rate this movie. At first I gave it a half star, but I realized that I was sort of fascinated by its awfulness, and that's what made me change my mind and give it a much more honest rating.

That isn't saying a lot though, because Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is just as much a piece of garbage as you've heard it to be, if you've heard of it at all. It's fascinating watching money burn on screen the way it does in this, but I can't say that I recommend it because of that.

The only way I could recommend this is to refer you to the Mystery Science Theater 3000 version, which in itself, isn't all that great either. It's just bad, and not much can save it from being such.
