Review of Sanju (2018) by Ranjan04Rajeev — 28 Jun 2018
For those people who are aware of Bollywood style, it is a movie Bollywood masterpiece, like all the other Rajkumar Hirani films this movie is solid in itself with great acting and plot. but above all the director has grown up to the challenge of trying a Hollywood style of drug abuse sequence, Trainspotting and Requiem for a dream has always be considered as classic way of showing that, which lacked in Udta Punjab, but here Raju utilising his masterful class and style gives a very unique perspective on how feeling high could feel, but doesn't romanticises on it, in the spirally 1st half movie gives the thrill and pleasure of dark world.
2nd half is much more classic Raju style film, with lots of tribute given to Ustads of Bollywood, and how can a true film lover views the wold through songs and gets his strength and motivation through them. It is also a tribute to a good man Sunil Dutt who never lost hope in his son.
But above all this movie is not just an ordinary dramatised biopic but also comments on the state of India, where sensational news and communal violence are largely prevalent. Movie is very good, you need not be a Sanju Baba fan to enjoy it.
