Sanctum is a beautifully filmed technological achievement. The problem with Sanctum is that it's storyline is as dull as ever. The movie is just plain boring and the acting is painfully unengaging.
There is really no fun to be had at Sanctum. The films poster is marketed with James Cameron's name featuring his award winning films like Titanic and Avatar. It's like Sanctum isn't good enough to advertise for itself and unfortunately it's the truth.
