Sanctum is a bit of a mess. I had some hope for it since the setting certainly had the potential for some impressive visuals and I have liked some of the actorsâ(TM) previous work. These advantages were no match for overwhelming power of this terrible script and inept direction.

The dialog was stilted; the characters were stereotypes out of a Victorian adventure novel, but without any of the panache or wit (it that how we make them modern?); the pacing was uneven; and aside from a few showy scenes with spectacular caves, the visuals were not too thrilling either.
