Review of Sanctum (2011) by Steve S — 29 Jan 2012
I saw this film in 3D, so maybe the 3D effects lurked me away from the yawns and the unenthused emotions most viewers felt towards this flick.
It wasn't a seasonal blockbuster hit; though the idea of it along with the previews throwing James Cameron's name all over it made it sharply appealing. Lucky enough for me I actually know the definition of the label "Executive Producer". This was no James Cameron film. It wasn't atrocious, but it could have been much better. I enjoyed some areas of it, and then with every feel of slight amusement there was a flaw that came right after.
I wouldn't be completely opposed to watching it again; but its a forgettable movie that you really can't get that strong of an opinion either way from.
Grade: C+.
