Review of San Andreas (2015) by Robert M — 15 Nov 2015
It may be well produced and made, but there maybe just wasn't much too special about it. It was another interesting disaster movie, especially if you compare it to 2012. It was really just a movie that featured a large amount of Earthquakes in large amounts of sizes at large cities on the east coast.
While it had enough of a heartfelt and engaging story, overall it felt a bit mediocre at times. I will say though that the action didn't seem to go too over the top like most of today's disaster thrillers do, even though there definitely was a lot of it.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has his usual action-packed role much like the Fast and Furious films, being more of a life-risking savior than an aggressive shooter. All-in-all, the film and it's effects especially were well crafted, but it just wasn't too convincing.
