Review of Samurai Rebellion (1967) by Sanbud T — 12 Sep 2007
A beautiful beautiful film that establishes Kobayashi as an equal if not better of Kurosawa. This and Harikiri are two of the greatest examples of Kobayashi's contributions to Japanese cinema. Operation, emotional, powerful and well-acted.
Very impressive. Great Mifune, as always.
