Review of Samurai I: Musashi Miyamoto (1954) by Sam M — 31 Mar 2016
Beautiful scenery and costumes using skillful cinematography, doesn't take much brainpower.
This won of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1955. It is the Japanese's equivalent of Gone with the Wind. For true comprehension of why this film is great one must watch all 3 parts, it has much in common with The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.
