Review of Samurai I: Musashi Miyamoto (1954) by Jason M — 31 Mar 2016
Sweeping samurai epic of love, war, and betrayal starring the great Toshiro Mifune who is awesome as a rebellious young swordsman who begins to learn the ways of patience, restraint, and spirituality from a local priest.
Beautiful cinematography despite the somehwat disappointing print from which criterion made their transfer.
