Review of Salvador (1986) by Brian R — 12 Dec 2009
Salvador could have been a better picture if it didn't try to tell to many stories at once. First it's about two has-bins who go over to Salvador to take photographs of the war and sell the pictures and make a name for themselves.
Second is about Major Max corrupting and tortuing the people, manipulating the politics in the country.
Third is about defecting a woman to the states(unsuccessfully).
Fourth is about the assassination of Archbishop Romero.
Fifth is about two photographers taking a dumb picture with a plane flying out in the sky while risking their own lives.
Sixith would be about the rape and murder of the American Nurses.
See what I mean? and there is more that I probably missed. Oliver Stone needs to relax and address a better message.
