A strong character based drama but if you set aside some heavy concepts as philosophical content it was more the comedy true to Ewan`s liking i`m sure. Plus opposite a sophisticated but simple, stunning down to earth Emily Blunt.
So a comedic tale about the particular 'classes' or 'differences' in 'their' quite particular places in (any) society being mere formalities compared to having a common goal driving force or extracurricular interest with another person.This also makes light of the romantic impact of a situation that's not meant to be, and 'just because' it`s not.
Salmon fishing or falling on love, let you decide what is or is not meant to be, that is the answer.
