Review of Saint John of Las Vegas (2010) by Jason K — 26 Jan 2010

I thought this movie was hilarious and I'm really surprised that it's not getting more pub with the great cast they've assembled here. Buscemi is his awesome bug eyed self as always. Sarah Silverman is hilarious as his office love interest and Romany Malco from Weeds and 40 Year Old Virgin never fails to crack me up.

You'll probably read a lot of stuff about how it's loosely based on Dante's Inferno but most movie goers aren't going to catch that connection and honestly it's not really important that they do.

It was great to finally see a comedy that I enjoyed without the word Apatow anywhere to be found. Find this movie if it comes to your town and support it because we need more thoughful, funny movies like this.
