Review of Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) by Jiana W — 17 Jun 2013
This is a genuine, refreshing film with plenty of heart and quirk to go around. There are multiple laugh out loud moments and a superb, understated performance by Mark DuPlass. The cast has a good chemistry that you can feel from the beginning to the end.
The time travel angle takes a back seat to the character development. This is a must-see for indie film fans and fans of DuPlass. Aubrey Plaza also shines in this film; though, her personality does not stray a whole lot from her character on Parks and Recreation.
Highly recommend this film for a good evening at home.
