Review of Safe (1995) by Jeffrey M — 07 Apr 2008
Great film. Best use of zooms since Barry Lyndon -- like the camera is a microscope looking more and more closely for bacteria or microbes or whatever germs are causing the protagonist's - and society's - sickness.
Second half metamorphs somewhat into a sort of satire of cultish self-help-isms, but it doesn't derail the film. Very moving.
