Review of Safe (1995) by Aj C — 23 Oct 2009
Riveting depiction of suburban alienation and self-absorption, and also of manipulative 'New Age' movements and our contemporary epidemic of paranoia and ignorance.
The acting, score, and cinematography were all perfect, though the pacing was slow(intentionally); Julianne Moore in particular is outstanding as the shallow and timid housewife.
Recommended for those with a taste for drama and subtlety.
