Review of Saboteur (1942) by Tara H — 11 Feb 2009
Some rather obvious propagandist elements (it was made during World War II) but this is still a taut, pacy thriller from Alfred Hitchcock. Not all of the cast is great but as it's about strange things happening to ordinary people, this doesn't matter too much.
Not one of Hitchcock's best-known films but it stands up pretty well, and some his famous quirky humour manages to shine through the rather plain surface.
