Review of Saboteur (1942) by Leonard E — 24 Nov 2013
Well, this was a quirky little film. They go all over the place, quite literally. It alternates as a terrorist-plot movie to a war propaganda film. But hey, it's Hitchcock, no one remembers the story, just the exciting ending.
This one is the iconic Statue of Liberty death that was a feature stage prop on the Universal tour as recently as 1992. 50 years of staying power, that's impressive. Not his best film, but an interesting (if awkward) story (don't get me started on the bearded lady and the Siamese twins.
..) Grade B.
