Review of Sabotage (2014) by Tim M — 18 Nov 2014
Despite the poor reviews from some others, I was impressed by this film. Schwarzenegger plays the part of the leader of a DEA special operations team leader well, and the inner pain he feels is carefully and methodically revealed.
Other characters true natures are also slowly revealed, as the plot twists to surprise us. The violence is graphic, bloody and brutal, and alcohol are an almost constant presence which reminds us of the pressure and stress that this DEA team is under.
There is a fascinating realism to the way the team moves and operates and this further suspends our disbelief to draw us into their sordid and violent world. The film progresses at a steady pace until it accelerates into edge of your seat action at the end.
This film definitely has a few surprises in store for you.
