Review of Ryan's Daughter (1970) by D B — 14 Apr 2009
Beautiful and endearing David Lean masterpiece. A intimate human story against a huge canvas of rugged Ireland. You can almost smell the salt in the air. Wonderful performances, haunting Maurice Jarre theme at his best, breath taking cinematography that ultimately needs to be experienced on the biggest screen you can find.
A true classic.
