Review of Rust and Bone (2012) by Udayalaksmanakartiyasa H — 30 Nov 2012
An unusual story with two very different characters who against all odds find solace in each other. It's rough, raw and forces us to confront assumptions about physical trauma, poverty, family, love and other aspects of life.
Multi layered, it's a compelling storytelling with great performances by Marion Cotillard and Matthias Schoenaerts. It's the type of films that lingers and keeps coming back. A story about letting go and acceptance.
