Review of Rust and Bone (2012) by Sam A — 19 Apr 2014
Powerfully acted, particularly Cotillard, and an intriguing story was hampered occasionally by a character I found difficult to care about purely because he was an ass. The ending though emotionally gripping was somewhat abrupt and was a surprising turn from the kind of meandering pace of the film.
Ultimately I still really enjoyed it based on Cotillard's acting if nothing else. (That is not the only reason I liked it though).
