Review of Russian Dolls (2005) by Leroy R — 13 Oct 2007
This sequel to the Spanish Apartment continues the story of Xavier and his quest to find himself. While the first one was a story about taking off, the Russian Dolls is a story about love. The mystique of the original is somewhat lost, though this is possibly due to the face that everyone can relate to leaving home for the fist time while few people can relate to finding their true love.
Still yet this movie deals with the complex issues involved with with trying to understand what true love really is, which prompts the viewer reflect on the subject. All in all The Russian Dolls is a fun romp through the life of a womanizer who is trying to sort out the mess of his life as well as, discover what love really means.
