Review of Rushmore (1998) by Dane P — 17 May 2014
Schwartzman plays the ultimate (extracurricular) polymathic brat, and he just won't let go of an older woman until he realizes how much hurt he's caused everyone. Murray is delightfully depressed, and Schwartzman nails the obsessive unlikely genius.
Brisk, and full of hearty chuckles, Andersen nails a tenuous balance between slightly dark and somehow touching.
