Review of Rushmore (1998) by Lavander B — 04 Oct 2010
One of the first, and still amongst the best, "smart teenager high school dramedy" movies that broke with the traditional style of prededecessors like Ferris Bueller's Day Off. A lot of the staples of the genre are reinvented here, opening the movieverse up to later movies such as Election, Napoleon Dynamite etc.
Mind you, this means that we owe this little gem both our thanks and our anger, depending on the progeny.
