Review of Rush Hour 3 (2007) by Movie K — 07 Mar 2010

Same old formula and which makes you think is this movie necessary. Movie starts with Chris Tucker wearing uniform directing traffic and singing/dancing while at it. Jackie Chan is the personal protector of the ambassador (Tzi Ma) who is going to a meeting to reveal the secret of the underworld triad.

Then an assassin shot him. Jackie give chase and the guy is Hiroyuki Sanada. Both of them have some history between them. Chris tries to help but ended up screwing it. But Jackie never dare to shoot Hiroyuki anyway.

Tzi Ma narrowly escape death. His daughter arrive (Zhang Jingchu) she is so beautiful. Zhang had a letter from her dad and it is to be handed over to Jackie should anything happens. They tried to get it but someone had it before them.

At the hospital, some baddies tries to kill Tzi Ma and the duo manage to stop it. The chairman Max von Sydow wants to bring Zhang with her for safety and the car exploded. They go to France to find the baddies and upon arrival got onto the taxi of Yvan Attal who dislike America.

They go into a casino and Chris met a hottie Noémie Lenoir while Jackie was greeted by a lady Youki Kudoh who turns out to be a killer. Later when they were been chase by the baddies, Yvan got excited to be spy like.

Much later they realise the triads wants to kill Noemie who holds the secret of the list of triad bosses. She is also one of them but wants to give the info to the ambassador. When they bring her to Max, they realise he is the bad guy too.

Zhang was held hostage by Hiroyuki and Jackie have to fight him. Chris tag along to spoil the fun. Jackie tries to rescue Hiroyuki first time but got attack, then second time tries to save him again Hiroyuki lets off and falls to his death.

Youki tries to kill Zhang and Chris save her and kill Youki. Then gun men were firing at the duo and they use the flag to glide down to safety. Max held Zhang hostage but got shot by Yvan. The ending is quite stupid to end like this.

Chris is noisy but in a funny way so he is forgiven.
