Review of Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage (2010) by Joel O — 26 Jul 2010
I admit first that I am a RUSH fan, and having just seen them in concert, the band is very fresh in my mind. My lady and I saw this film when released in select theaters, and it was terrific. You may 'nay' my opinion, but the film is great as a biography, showing the band's lifeline, and providing fresh insight for RUSH fans, and a great taste of the band's background for non-RUSH fans who are curious about the band.
It's informative and entertaining from start to finish, integrating various interviews with band members, their friends, families, musical peers, as well as a wealth of archival footage. What also makes this a great film is that is leaves you wanting more after it ends (buy the DVD if you do).
Sincerely, Hitchboy.
