Review of Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage (2010) by Douglas M — 01 Feb 2014
Although it breezes over the most important decade of their career (1980s) in favor of more emphasis on the 70s...this documentary is the ONLY one ever done on this band that even with them being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is still a cult band.
Hopefully the directors will issue an updated directors cut that is extended out and updated in the future and not one that is restricted for television time viewing. There is a lot left out that 2 hrs is just NOT enough time to cover.
The Eagles History managed to do a great job at covering everything and anything in between. Beyond The Lighted Stage is a great starting point for the band. I eagerly await future docs on the band and more in-depth into the albums, songs, tours, and other history of this terribly undocumented band.
