Review of Rush (2013) by Stephen B — 27 Feb 2014
Ladies and gay men might enjoy this even more than I did. There is a nice balance between action and interpersonal drama. If this had been about two stunningly beautiful FEMALE athletes I might have enjoyed it more than stating at Mr.
Beautiful half the time and his good looking rival who we were constantly told was funny looking etc. Sort of like the beautiful actresses that uses to pull their hair back and put on a pair of glasses and immediately be the "ugly duckling" in endless Hollywood productions from the 1930's through last week.
Oh, well. As nice as that might have been my dear wife would have been insufferable about it. At least since we turned 60 she doesn't seem to think she HAS to be the most beautiful women in the room.
Of course, back when she was a P in the A about it I usually thought she was.... jeez, Women. Good movie. VERY good idea to put the real Niki Lauda on at the end. I wish they had found him a part to play in the flick actually.
Interesting guy.
