Review of Rupture (2017) by Richard S — 04 Jun 2018
This film was bonkers and not in a good way. At the very start we discover Noomi Rapace's character is terrified of spiders, 10 minutes later she is kidnapped and left tied to a table in an undisclosed location while her kidnappers observe, ask her strange questions and occasionally cover her with spiders. This might sound a little odd but this is only the beginning of the madness. Eventually we discover the reason behind this bizarre behaviour and it turns out her kidnappers are trying to induce such a state of fear that she will rupture and begin her next stage of evolution because like her kidnappers she is actually part of an ancient alien race who need to take the planet back from those pesky humans who are destroying.
The film was just too weird, didn't make a whole lot of sense and badly acted by pretty much everyone.
