Review of Running with Scissors (2006) by Amber F — 10 Jan 2009
I haven't read the "memoir," nor will I probably ever, but I really enjoyed the film. I have a very hard time believing this all existed, but it was a fun, and at times devastating, ride.
The performances, esp. by Bening, Cross, Clayburgh, and Fiennes, are great (I love me some Paltrow, but she had too small a part), and any movie that uses "Year of the Cat" by Al Stewart is okay in my book.
I don't see how virtually none of the critics gave it good reviews.
