Review of Runaway Jury (2003) by Hannibal O — 18 Aug 2008
Ok, the plot is pretty far-fetched, but the script is a testament to how great writing can make an unbelievable plot into a great story. Of course, it helps that you have 2 of the greatest actors in film history not to mention good performances from the others as well (Cusak, Weisz, etc.
). You also have a very beautifully shot film set and shot in Louisiana (always a great setting for any film). To top it off, we're also treated to the first time Hoffman and Hackman have acted in a scene together and it was absolutely electric.
These two are masters in their game and they give you performances worthy of your ticket price.
