Review of Runaway Jury (2003) by Sandy K — 22 Jan 2013
A deliciously satisfying thriller, with great performances (Gene Hackman is amazing as the ultimate sleazy bad guy!). OK, I'll admit that some of it requires a major suspension of disbelief (like how John Cusack's character happens to be called to jury service for THAT particular trial), but the viewer happily plays along because the payoff is so good.
Just watched it again a mere month after the Newtown, CT shooting, which gives it a whole new poignancy.
