Review of Runaway Jury (2003) by Diana W — 08 Aug 2017
Watching this as I am typing this review!
Despite the fact that I firmly believe in The Right To Bear Arms! I am in favour of logical, responsible laws in place to prevent their ownership and misuse. 1 Soapbox statement. People always try to confuse the issue stating that their are enough laws on the books already to monitor sale & use and that criminals & distraught people will secure guns @ any cost.
WRONG! Our laws do a pretty good job with permits for driving cars, owning pets, etc...We should have more laws for local, county & State Fairs/Conventions etc...We should better monitor Pawn, Resale, Thrift, and GUN & AMO Stores. Having worked for the Feds...we should have a Division to assist in Federal and State Regulation of buying & selling guns...all to themselves! Better support border, both national and state transportation inspections, not just for drugs, but for guns & ammo as well!
Nuff said...This is a very interesting thriller with a wonderful casting and excellent acting. I don't like Jeremy Piven, but he is fine aside Dustin Hoffman. Adore Rachel Weisz, John Cusack, Gene Hackman in almost everything they have done. A special treat is Bruce Davison...I just like to watch him in anything as well, a very under-rated character actor! Bruce McGill was an interesting joice for The Judge, but then he does that Good Ol' Boy which most Judges are...pretty well!
Again my John Grisham Good Guy to the rescue!
