Review of Run Lola Run (1998) by Jason R — 14 May 2010
This movie is one long adrenaline rush. The music accompanies the images very well. Either you're a fan of it or you aren't. I pretty much liked the music in the sence that it makes you want to start to run yourself, what's a little bit difficult in a room that's 5 by 6.
The overall style of the movie was great but I could do with a better story, although I know that wasn't the most important intent for this movie. The magic-realistical pieces worked OK, including the high-pitched screams which reminded me of the little Oskar Matzerath(sometimes I found there was a bit too much luck involved).
In the end I have to say I really had a wonderful time watching this picture. The message of the movie becomes clear after a couple of minutes and is brought in a very original way. The 81 minutes really flew by, but what else to expect from such an up-tempo movie?
