Review of Run Lola Run (1998) by Richard D — 13 Sep 2014
A film about style over substance. Its plot isn't deep or unique for that matter, but it's all in the execution. Lola attempts three times to save her boyfriend from being killed by somehow obtaining a bunch of cash. A reset button is hit when she fails (not explained) and she tries again. Every interaction has a sort of butterfly effect with the people around her. There is a cartoon segment every time she runs down a particular flight of stairs for some reason (because STYLE!) It's worth a watch, but don't expect anything too deep or thought provoking.
Soundtrack is good.
