(1996) Rumble In The Bronx.
(In Chinese with English subtitles).
ACTION/ COMEDY.
First Jackie Chan film in a long time that performed well in North America which the US version and the Chinese version have scenes the other one doesn't and vice versa, such as there is nudity on the US version when Jackie whipped the guys butt with a car antennae whereas in the Chinese version, the guy didn't have to show his butt at all, one of the action sequences is shorter in the Chinese Laserdisc version than the US version during the use of tvs and refridgerators action sequence. There's also more screen presence in the US version of Françoise Yip (her film debut) than in the Chinese Laser disc where some scenes were added as well as the Chinese version. I prefer the Chinese version myself since Jackie Chan movie sound track including the end credits have been replaced with Hollywood symphony which includes violins and trumpets taking away the action rythm! This was a major hit in Hong Kong being the top grossing movie of that year which is in 1995.
