Review of Rumble Fish (1983) by Adrienne L — 29 Dec 2010
A young man going nowhere (Matt Dillon) spends his life bragging about his older brother (Mickey Rourke) who was a somebody many years ago. It becomes evident however that like their father the older brother has mental issues.
Touching, sad and very interesting. A new favourite. Mickey Rourke is brilliant. The film is beautifully shot (and has clearly been copied a million times over by many less original productions).
