Review of Rumble Fish (1983) by Willem W — 18 Jul 2007
Surreal, moody, Expressionistic. Quite the opposite of Coppola's golden-hued adaptation of Hinton's other book. Mickey Rourke is hypnotic as Motocycle Boy, Matt Dillon appropriately bewildered as his little brother.
A fine score by Stuart Copeland. This was back when Coppola was unafraid to experiment.
