Review of Rumble Fish (1983) by Cheryl O — 25 Jul 2009
Rourke is an absolute legend and this performance is strong and brooding in a very James Dean way. In fact the whole film has a sense of Rebel Without a Cause about it - Rourke is cool while Dillon is sensitive.
I must say that whilst I'm not the biggest fan of movie violence the strong acting by all of the major characters and excellent cinematography really carries the plot. A definite must-see that I wish I'd seen years ago!
