Review of Rubber (1936) by Ian R — 17 May 2014
First of all, the tire stuff is NOT the whole movie, a huge part is a group of people watching it all happen through binoculars and that stuff is painful to watch and pointless. This movie is pretentious and thinks that it's much better then it is.
A director with real balls would have made a movie just about the tire and dropped all that holier than thou meta stuff, but this guy can't resist telling you how much smarter he is than the material, despite using it to get you in the door.
