Review of Royal Warriors (1986) by Movie K — 12 Feb 2014

I expected more tough fight from Michelle Yeoh. Hiroyuki Sanada is a good addition to this action flick. Average movie. 2 Japanese gangster want to kill an ex-member. Michelle Yeoh save him and beat the thugs.

She board a plane, on board also have Michael Wong (Air Security) and Hiroyuki Sanada. Chan Wai-Man is escorted by Paul Chun. A killer kill Paul and freed Chan. Michelle and Sanada apprehend Chan. The killer fight Michelle and break the window.

She try to save him but he want to push her out, she kick his leg and he got stuck to the window and die. Chan awake and hold the grenade. Michael shot him and he throw the grenade. Sanada grab hold it and put in a cupboard, minimize the impact.

He has quit his interpol agent to spend time with his family. Michael invite them for dinner and he like Michelle. Sanada is leaving to Japan with his wife and daughter. He was talking to Michelle and saw his car with a bomb.

The wife start the engine and the car exploded. Lam Wai is the killer, sworn brother of Chan. They chase after him. Sanada chase Lam to a construction site and fall into a pit. Lam bury him and Michelle save him.

Sanada vow revenge and get a gun from a dealer. He call Michelle to meet in a pub for the killer leads. Lam shot many innocents in the pub and hold Michelle hostage. They fight him and Sanada kill him with the gun.

Kenneth Tsang the superior want Sanada to stay in embassy. Bai Ying is the last sworn brother. Kenneth relieve Michelle of duty. Michael take the evidence to give her but she is angry, not in the mood.

He saw the photo and discover another person. He review the CCTV and confirm the identity. He want to show her but Bai got him. He call Michelle out and hang Michael on roof top. Michael untie the rope on his leg and fall to death, don't want Michelle to go up.

She vow revenge on TV and Kenneth is angry. She quit her job. Bai dig Michael grave and send video tape taunting Michelle and Sanada. He hang Michael coffin up, don't let him have a proper resting place.

Sanada turn up first, his car flip over. Michelle drive a prototype armour van, save Sanada. Bai burn the van. Michelle fight Bai and defeat him. He didn't die and ignite dynamites planted. Michelle save Sanada and got the coffin.
