Review of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (1991) by Steve G — 28 Nov 2008
Some witty Shakespearean wordplay, existential philosophy, and absurdity, but what does it all mean? Perhaps I should have read Hamlet first... Oldman, Roth, and Dreyfuss are great players in a mediocre film.
They strut and fret their hour and 57 minutes upon the screen, and then are heard no more; it is a tale told by idiots, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
