Review of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (1991) by David Ray G — 23 Sep 2011
Tim Roth and Gary Oldman in a Stoppard play made into a movie by Stoppard himself. It honestly doesn't get better than this.
I've loved the Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead play, and Stoppard is a playwright I admire, and consider "R & G" to be his best work. It was marvelously delivered on screen, and that's all one can ask for. I laughed hysterically at certain scenes, and Oldman and Roth are both brilliant. Ah, the good old cinema days.
